Methodology

How we build a playbook.

Every page follows the same spine so you can trust the structure even on a topic you’ve never read about here.

The spine of every loan-product page

  1. Scenario examples — real shapes of deals this product fits.
  2. Qualification matrix — the thresholds underwriters actually use.
  3. What typically goes wrong — the failure modes we see most.
  4. Indicative rate range — a non-binding band, stamped with an “as of” date.

How we handle rates

We never publish a live APR or a payment quote. When we show a rate range, it’s an indicative band for orientation only, carries an explicit “as of” date, and is refreshed quarterly. Anything tighter than that belongs in a conversation with a licensed loan officer about your specific file.

Review before publish

Drafts that contain any rate or payment statement are reviewed by a licensed loan officer before they go live. Every published article carries a named human byline. Drafts in our queue are flagged and excluded from search and indexing until that review is complete.
